Scaffold Competent Inspector/ Supervisor

The legislation specifies that anyone carrying out an inspection must be competent to do so. To be competent that person must have the necessary training, knowledge, and experience.

​

A competent person is an employee who is capable of identifying existing or predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has the authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate these hazards.

This training course is designed specifically for scaffold inspectors, site engineers, and supervisors.

Overview

This course is aimed at anyone who manages sites with scaffolding erections or engages with scaffolding inspectors and needs to be aware of on-site scaffolding from a supervisory or management perspective. They would not be required to sign off scaffolding as safe to use.
