OSHA Laboratory Safety Training Program
Laboratory technicians/ technologists/ scientists/ managers are exposed to numerous potential hazards, including chemical, biological, physical, and radioactive hazards, as well as musculoskeletal stresses. This program provides training on a variety of safety topics related to workplace hazards in a medical or dental laboratory setting.
In addition to OSHA's required general industry topics (6 hours), this program also laboratory-specific training. This program takes a closer look at these important topics, including latex allergy, bloodborne pathogens in the healthcare setting, biological hazards, and slip, trip, and fall prevention for healthcare workers. This program helps employers meet OSHA training requirements for their staff.
