Introduction to Safety Training

OSH Induction Training Program

More than 100 of OSHA's current standards contain requirements for training. Furthermore, a comprehensive workplace safety program needs to include training. This course outlines information on developing and delivering effective training to workers.

Quality safety and health training help prevent work-related injuries and illnesses. Effective training also encourages workers by educating and empowering them to advocate for safer working conditions.

Several factors contribute to successful training. One of the most important is ensuring that the trainer exhibits safety and health expertise, sound instructional skills, and flexibility.

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

  • How to identify the safety and health problems at their workplace;

  • How to analyze the causes of these safety and health problems;

  • How to bring about safer, healthier workplaces; and

  • How to involve their co-workers in accomplishing all the above.


Module 1: About OSHA

  • Discuss OSHA's mission as stated in the OSHact of 1970.

  • Summarize where to find OSHA's standards in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

  • Discuss how OSHA enforces standards, including issuing citations and assessing penalties.

  • Describe the various OSHA resources to help employers develop a safe workplace.

  • List and describe the OSHA Alliance Program, SHARP, and VPP opportunities for employers.

Module 2: Rights and Responsibilities

  • Discuss employer and employee responsibilities under the OSHAact of 1970.

  • Define and give examples of "recognized hazards."

  • Describe the various workers' rights and whistleblower protections.

Intended Audience

This training course is designed for helping companies and individuals learn the fundamentals of occupational health and safety at their workplace.

It will help companies in meeting the health and safety regulatory compliance requirements. 

Duration and Delivery

This training course takes 3 hours to be completed

  • In-House Training- in Client's Workplace Companies [ Upon request] 


  • Sunday,  12 June  10:30 AM- 1:30 PM   UAE Time

  • Sunday,  19 June  10:30 AM- 1:30 PM  UAE Time

  • Sunday,  26 June  10:30 AM- 1:30 PM  UAE Time

  • Note: Companies can request another time if the timings in the schedule are not suitable for them


Upon completion of the training, participants will take the final exam. It's an open book exam. 

Multiple choices questions to ensure that all participants have learned the basics.
