Fire Safety & First Aid
Fire Safety & First Combined Training is designed to help busy professionals who want to learn the basics of fire protection and first aid emergency.
First Aid: This training course is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders at workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organizations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment. Remember, first aid is not medical treatment, but rather the basic first aid understanding you need to help someone who has been injured at workplace until a medical professional can provide care.
Fire Safety: This training is designed for people who have fire safety responsibilities at work. It provides the knowledge and understanding, when combined with relevant experience, to carry out an effective fire protection procedure, as well as embed good practice in the workplace.
Holders of this accredited qualification help their organization meet its fire safety responsibilities. It leads to a safer environment for employees as well as visitors to premises and an improved fire safety culture for employers and building managers.
Fire safety is important. It protects people from injury and loss of life. It protects your property, your assets and your investment.
Upon the completion of the course, participant will be able to:
Identify hazards and apply control measures
Identify people who could be at risk when a fire starts
Assess the adequacy of existing fire safety measures to control risk
Discover a fire – Personnel should be made aware of the method of raising the alarm in a premises. This should include the position of manual fire alarm call points and their method of operation.
Hear the fire alarm – Personnel should be made aware of the evacuation procedures in their premises. They should be shown escape routes and final exits, and they should also be made aware of fire doors and their purpose in protecting escape routes.
Understand the Assembly points – Personnel should be shown their ‘Fire Assembly Point’ and made aware of the need to ensure everybody has been accounted for.
Call the Fire and Rescue Service – Personnel should be made aware of the method of calling the fire service and the location of telephones.
Understand A basic knowledge of the theory of fire – The fire triangle.
Know how to use different types of fire extinguishers – Personnel should be trained in the safe use of fire extinguishers. It is not acceptable to say “employees are not expected to use an extinguisher and therefore they don’t need to know
Prioritize injuries and action in an emergency.
Know how to provide immediate medical care in an emergency.
Know how to assess if someone is unconscious, whether or not they are breathing and how and when to put them into the recovery position.

The presented course, materials, and workshop (if any) can be conducted in English or Arabic based on the participants’ desires.
Closing of registration is 2 days prior to the course date.
