Basic Life Support Training
Providing adequate basic life support training is a must according to UAE Safety Law.
BLS is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. The AHA’s BLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This video-based, Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings.
This is the International English version of the BLS Course. The training materials have been adapted to include metric units of measure and other references that apply to students outside the U.S. and Canada.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals
According to the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations,
“You are responsible for making sure that your employees receive immediate attention if they are taken ill or are injured at work. Accidents and illness can happen at any time and first aid can save lives and prevent minor injuries from becoming major ones.”
This means that, as an employer, you are responsible for ensuring your employees (and sometimes members of the public, if they are on your premises) receive appropriate first aid treatment in the event of them having an accident or being taken ill.
Whilst this law is standard across all employers, regardless of how many people you employ or where you work, the precise level of first aid provided will very much depend on the individual circumstances of your business
In a cardiac arrest, every second counts. A cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, often while at home, at work, or at play. And the victim is likely to be someone you know and love. Every minute CPR is delayed, a victim’s chance of survival decreases by 10%. Immediate CPR from someone nearby can double – even triple – their chance of survival.
